The Old Lodge and Pitt Building, Pembroke College

Map of the Old Lodge and Pitt Building

The old Master's Lodge dates from the 1870s, and was designed (like many of the present college buildings) by Alfred Waterhouse. It is now N staircase, and houses the Junior Parlour (JP), the college bar, a large function room, and rooms for some fellows.

The Pitt Building is named after William Pitt the Younger, former Prime Minister and Pembroke alumnus. It surrounds most of Chimney Court and was built at the beginning of the 20th century to the designs of W.D. Caroe. It is now M staircase, and provides accommodation for students and fellows.
